Pamela Magill has been involved in the publicity, information and guiding services for Plymouth for over 30 years. For 10 years Pamela worked for the City of Plymouth Publicity and Entertainments Department, mainly as secretary of the Tourist Information Bureau. She then spent 15 years as a tour guide for the award-winning Guide Friday (Citysightseeing) open top tour buses in Plymouth - for the last two years of that time she was the local manager and guide trainer for the Plymouth Tour. Since 2004 she has been a freelance tour guide for Plymouth and the southwest region, providing guiding services for coach companies, cruise liners and private commissions.
Pam also lectures to various groups on subjects relating to the West Country and strives to "bring the region's history to life" during her presentations. A former Publicity Officer for the Old Plymouth Society, she has also been a volunteer in local museums.
As a Blue Badge guide for the southwest region, Pam's aim is to promote the best of what this region offers in history and beauty, to people from all parts of the world; she makes sure that people leave the tour having learnt a lot, and wanting to know more.
Pam would be delighted to arrange one of her tours for you. Alternatively, she would welcome the opportunity to tailor a tour to your requirements - she may be contacted by e-mail or phone.
